Glacial Erratic Band

Genre: Comedy rock & rock

Performing 7-9pm at:
Sasek’s Jolie La Vie
33 Hurontario St.

A Glacial Erratic is a rock that sat in one spot for millions of years, only to be picked up by glaciers and deposited in a completely different place among completely different rocks. Which makes a Glacial Erratic kind of a cool and rare rock. Meanwhile, lots of dudes play music and, like, feel awesome about it, but then get married and have kids and stop playing when their garage gets cleared out for the minivan. Plus, do you know any wife who actually likes it when dudes tromp through the house every Friday to emit loud and strange sounds and probably smell bad as well? Neither do we. Which makes the Glacial Erratic Band (comprised of dudes with responsible and sensible partners) well, rare? Probably not. Cool? You decide. Their music, however, is indeed rock infused with a melting glacier groove, and their lyrics do cover such topics as family minivans and getting your lawn-mower stuck in the ditch.

Greg Smith
